The Gallery
In this section, we present images and animations of nodal surfaces.
In particular, we show all surfaces which reach the currently known records for surfaces with many singularities.
Furthermore, we give related information and links.

At the left, you see a surface of degree 9 (nonic) which has 216 ordinary nodes as singularities. It is a variant of Chmutov's surfaces.
216 is the current maximum number of real singularities on a surface of degree 9.
I constructed a nonic with 226 (complex) nodes in my Ph. D. thesis. Until now, this is the maximum number of nodes on a surface of degree 9.
